About this scholarship
The School of Medicine and Psychology in the ANU College of Health and Medicine is offering a one-off award to support a PhD research project exploring the intersections of care, work and the National Disability Insurance Scheme in a remote First Nations community in Central Australia. This social sciences project is part of a larger program of research funded by the Australian Research Council examining the future possibilities of a First Nations disability workforce in remote areas in collaboration with First Nations research partners. The objective of the Award is to support an outstanding domestic candidate committed to First Nations justice and culturally safe research practice, with a social sciences background. The candidate will be based in the School of Medicine and Psychology and will be supported to work closely with First Nations collaborators and to undertake fieldwork in a remote Central Australian community. First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply.
