About this scholarship
In 2024, Edna Phyllis Chatfield bequeathed $700,000 to the University of Adelaide for the purpose of establishing scholarships to support students undertaking studies in piano at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. Ms Chatfield enjoyed learning and playing the piano and attended many concerts at the Elder Conservatorium of Music during her lifetime. The Chatfield Memorial Masters Scholarship for Piano supports students undertaking a Master of Music (Performance Studies) or Master of Music (Performance and Pedagogy) program of study and specialising in piano at Adelaide University.
