About this scholarship
The Fulbright Indigenous Scholarship was established to recognise Indigenous leaders’ commitment to achieving excellence, while seeking an international perspective and collaboration through their studies/research. The scholarship was originally established in cooperation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) in 1993 and is now supported by the Australian Government’s National Indigenous Australians Agency. This scholarship supports students and scholars who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to undertake a research program in the U.S. The award is available in any field of academic study, across visiting student researcher, postdoctoral, and scholar categories.
