About this scholarship

You must: have studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music have graduated from your undergraduate degree in the previous calendar year plan to complete your master's at the Conservatorium or an overseas institution. This prize was donated by Dr Keith Ong and Dr Eileen Ong. 1. Background a. The Prize was established in 2017 to support talented pianists. b. This Prize was donated by Drs Keith and Eileen Ong. 2. Eligibility criteria a. To be considered eligible for this Prize, students must have studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. b. Students must have graduated from their undergraduate degree in the previous calendar year. c. Students must be planning to complete their Master’s at the Sydney Conservatorium or an overseas institution. 3. Selection criteria a. The Prize will be awarded based on highest weighted average mark in an undergraduate degree by students who have studied piano. b. The Prize will be awarded by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. 4. Value a. The Scholarship value at $10,000 and will be paid as a one-off payment. a. No other amount is payable. b. The Prize will be awarded subject to the availability of funds. 5. Termination a. The University reserves the right to withdraw the Prize, if the University determines that the student is guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information that has a relationship to the awarding of this Prize. b. Once withdrawn the Prize will not be reinstated.
