Supervisor: Professor Steven Kenway The ARC Training Centre for Climate-Resilient Water is recruiting PhD candidates to join a national research program addressing critical water challenges in a changing climate. This is a unique opportunity to undertake a PhD as part of a multi-institution, industry-connected cohort, focused on delivering real-world impact. You will work with leading researchers and industry partners to co-design solutions in a globally leading training centre. Our research themes span social and physical science, please visit: https://climateresilientwater.org Research environment Multiple projects are supported by an interdisciplinary ARC Training Centre at The University of Queensland (UQ) with Griffith University, UTS (Sydney), Colorado State University (USA), ETZ (Switzerland) and University of Sydney. The Centre offers a globally leading transdisciplinary research environment and engagement with over 28 partners many world leaders in their respective fields of policy and social science, engineering, systems analysis, climate and scenario modelling, architecture, and design and planning Candidates will be supported by core skills training, an active community of practice, an advanced training program, a 12-month supported industry placement and a collaborative design challenge for specific sites; plus career pathway advancement with professional development and mentoring and international hosting opportunities (by application).
