About this scholarship
In 1987, an endowment was established by contributions from the State, the University, professional colleagues and friends for the purpose of providing a number of postgraduate travelling fellowships to commemorate the services rendered to the University by Professor D R Stranks AO, Foundation Chair of Inorganic Chemistry 1964-1973, Vice-Chancellor of the University 1977 to 1986. The purpose of the fellowships is to provide assistance for travel to enable the Adelaide University’s postgraduate candidates to pursue some aspects of their research and investigations outside the State of South Australia.
